In checking whether cupcakes are already done, you can use a toothpick. Prior to baking, preheat the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. You have to check the cupcakes from time to time to avoid over baking.

It is also recommended to use shiny pans when baking your cupcakes. Nonstick pans are better however you can also use cupcake pans that come in different shapes such as hearts and stars.
